Sri Syama Sastri, the oldest with the trinity, was taught Telugu and Sanskrit by his father, who was the pujari (Hindu priest) in the Meenakshi temple in Madurai. Syama Sastri's texts were being mostly composed in Telugu, widening their well known attraction. A few of his most famous compositions contain the nine krithis, Navaratnamaalikā, in prai
